What a pool fence has to do
Keep a child from walking straight into the water. That means a tall enough line, gaps a small child cannot slip through, nothing easy to climb, and a gate that swings away from the pool and latches by itself.
Local inspectors and the current code control the details. We do not publish a code summary that could go stale. Bring any inspector notes you already have.
Materials that usually work
Aluminum is the most common pool metal because you can see through it and it handles splash. Some vinyl systems work if the spacing and hardware are right. Wood can work as a barrier but needs more attention to gaps and climbable parts.
A house wall can be part of the enclosure if the doors are handled correctly. That is a site decision, not a website promise.
Questions we hear on this work
- Do you guarantee a pool fence will pass inspection?
- No. We build to the layout and hardware you and the inspector require. Codes and inspectors change. We will not put a pass guarantee on a webpage.
